“Life is an adventure. So write it down and treasure the memory forever.” – Barbara Morina, founder of Journals Unlimited.
The Meadow’s Edge blog will serve as an electronic journal of the calendar year, noting changes in weather and seasons as evidenced by the behavior of plants and animals and other natural events that occur in our neighborhood.
“Nothing takes the place of keeping a journal, in which to record observations and thoughts, a phrase, a word, or an idea that can be used when there is leisure to write, nor is there any substitute for observation: the time taken to carefully examine and respond to the world around us.” – Myro Cohn Livingston, writer and poet

No, nothing takes the place of keeping a journal, but I would add that there is nothing that can substitute for the time taken to examine and respond to the world within us………..for it is the world around us that let’s us see ourselves for whom we are; and then when our eyes are opened to ourselves we know who it is that others see.
