Evening Primrose is in flower. Indian Pipe can be found in woodlands. The Praying Mantis is active. Gray tree frogs, katydids and meadow crickets call. Nighthawks buzz on a sultry evenings. The Tiger Swallowtail butterfly is attracted to thistles, milkweeds, and tiger lilies. Screech owls may be vocal. Young redtail hawks are learning to hunt.
