A Daisy grows along a sunny woodland path in June.
The familiar “Daisy” grows almost everywhere in fields and along roadsides. In this photo, the Daisy (Chrysanthemum leucanthemum) is crowded by other plants, so you cannot see the narrow, many lobed leaves growing up the stem. The Daisy “flower” is really a combination of two types of flowers: the disk flowers are yellow and in the center; the ray flowers are the white flowers around the center that are plucked as in “she loves me, she loves me not.” You would need a hand lens you see the individual yellow flowers in the center.
